Cardi B addressed critics accusing her of prioritizing nightlife over parenting during a candid conversation on Twitter Spaces on Sunday (Dec. 1).
The Bronx-born rapper firmly dismissed claims that her recent party appearances meant she was neglecting her children, pushing back against what she labeled as sexist critiques.
Deeming herself as a “real provider” and not a “fake Instagram model mom,” Cardi insisted that she’s been able to tend to her responsibilities as a parent despite emotionally coping following her split from her husband, Offset.

“I balance it all,” she stated. “How do you expect women to heal over a heartbreak? That’s why we say our mothers cry so much.”
“Yesterday was my last day going out to party,” Cardi declared. “We’ve been partying hard, honey. Having a time, a ball. But let’s have this little talk.”

The rapper took issue with the narrative that she’s “always outside” or “finally happy being a h*e,” attributing such commentary largely to men. “I feel like it’s men that usually say that,” Cardi observed.
“I’m not being a h*e because after I leave the club, I take this wet a** p***y to my f**king bed with no d**k to give it to. After you have a breakup, you have to just live a little bit.”
Cardi’s remarks come after she vowed earlier this year to focus on completing her long-awaited sophomore album, the follow-up to her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy.

She admitted she was navigating a transitional phase, saying, “I’m going through a very different transition in my f**king life… I don’t want to crash. I have to get my sh*t together.”
She also teased fans with promises of new music, secret business ventures, and possibly even a new relationship in 2024. “Next year, my album will be out, my secret businesses will be out… Hopefully, I get me a little boyfriend. I’m h*e-less right now,” she joked.
Cardi B has three children with husband and fellow rapper Offset, whom she filed for divorce from following a public fallout between the two earlier this year. The GRAMMY Award winner gave birth to her youngest child, a girl, this past September.
