A lot of people are waiting to play dress-up it seems
Infinity Nikki has passed an enormous 30m pre-registrations worldwide
This unlocks all of the juicy rewards currently set to arrive in-game
Infinity Nikki is a mix of dress-up game and open-world adventure
If there’s anything that seems to have come out of nowhere to be on everybody’s lips, it’s Infinity Nikki. From taking pride of place at the Tokyo Game show, to announcing a closed beta to widespread interest, this dress-up game turned open-world adventure seems to have captured the imagination of people everywhere.
And now, Infinity Nikki has passed another milestone, as over 30 million folk have pre-registered for it, and the global closed beta set to arrive for iOS and Android soon. Rewards for players, all of which have now been unlocked, include: 50,000 Blings, 300 Threads of Purity, 20 Resonite Crystals and a 4-star outfit that will be gifted at launch.
A mix of dress-up and adventure, Infinity Nikki sees you navigate an open world while playing as, well, the titular Nikki. You need to acquire new outfits to allow her to gain special powers, letting her explore more and more of the vast open world.
To infinity, and beyond
The general consensus around the virtual water-cooler from many here at Pocket Gamer is that Infinity Nikki is going to be huge. And at 30 million pre-registrations for what is, essentially, a glorified dress-up game I don’t doubt it at all. Compared to HoYoverse’s usually quite popular output that has dominated the open-world mobile and multiplatform RPG genre, Nikki is even heavier on the gorgeous graphics and effects. It just remains to be seen how it measures up when it actually hits storefronts.
Want to hear some of our thoughts about Infinity Nikki and it’s stylish dress-up powers? Well why not listen in on a slightly older edition of the Pocket Gamer podcast about just that!
