New To Be Hero X Character Concept Video Surfaces

The To Be Hero X anime was previously lined up for a 2025 debut, and the latest update includes a new character concept video for the upcoming entry in the series. This one centers on The Johnnies, the collective name for fifth-ranked heroes Little Johnny and Big Johnny.

You can meet them along with a sample of Misaki Umase’s “growL” episode theme song below.

To Be Hero X The Johnnies Video

Cast members include Natsuki Hanae as Nice, Nobunaga Shimazaki as E-Soul, Koichi Yamadera as Ahu, Inori Minase as Lucky Cyan, Ayane Sakura as Loli, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Little Johnny, Yuichi Nakamura as Ghostblade, Koki Uchiyama as Dragon Boy, Kana Hanazawa as Queen and Mamoru Miyano as X.

Li Haolin (Link Click) is directing, with Hiroyuki Sawano, KOHTA YAMAMOTO, Hidefumi Kenmochi, DAIKI (AWSM.), Shuhei Mutsuki, Hideyui Fukasawa, Misaki Umase and Ryuichi Takada (MONACA) on music for the BeDream production.

Crunchyroll previously revealed plans to stream To Be Hero X when it debuts. Crunchyroll also streamed the  TO BE HERO  and To Be Heroine anime series as they aired, describing To Be Heroine like so:

Everyone around Futaba expects her to grow up and become an adult, and she’s lost the ability to keep herself mentally balanced. At the bottom of her heart, her childish self is still there, and still strong.

One day she wanders into another dimension, a world where the light has been lost, and darkness rules. The people there exist as babies wearing only their underpants. The clothes they wear can be summoned as powerful fighters called SpiCloths.

In this world, a battle was being fought between light and darkness…
